Who we are

Our website address is: https://onetexaspodcast.com. The purpose of this platform is to amplify the voices of real people by sharing their lived experiences, ensuring that this platform reflects authentic stories rather than just the ideas of its contributors.

All contributions to this website are inevitably shaped by our individual life experiences. In the spirit of full disclosure, allow me to introduce myself: my name is Maria Luisa Alvarado. I developed the theme for this platform based on my own experiences as a political campaign manager and candidate in Texas.

After the votes are counted and the results announced, the voices that filled the campaign trail often muted—overshadowed by the noise of who won, who lost, and why. Whether or not I ever take part in another campaign, this platform is a space to preserve and amplify those voices beyond election day. If you are a former or current political candidate, you are especially invited to be a contributor.

Purpose

This purpose of this website is to share news gathered from around Texas — stories based on citizen’s point of view, and the facts that inform these views. These views will be further informed by our contributors when relevant.

The blog theme for all news gathered is Around Texas
